The clients purchased an unloved house that hadn’t been cared for 40 years, with the view to creating their new family home. The house, located in East Dulwich in south London, was completely refurbished with a new loft conversion and single storey rear extension to add additional family living space.
The existing property was restored to it’s former glory, with all traditional mouldings and features restored. Stepping down through a new glazed skylight and cast concrete steps, you move into a new minimal rear extension of concrete, oak and white walls. Large aluminium framed glazed sliding doors open out into the garden area, allowing the new living spaces to flow outwards in the Summer months.
A new, stepped rear dormer extension has created additional bedrooms and a bathroom for the family home, allowing the clients to stay locally in the area as their family grows
